Focus
This summerschool provides an introduction to the theory and to applications of reduced basis methods, which allow to give some rigorous answers to the above questions and to construct low dimensional approximate models with high fidelity. The school is addressed towards students and graduates with a reasonable mathematical background. Besides a series of lectures, that provide a theoretical introduction into the field, we also provide programming tutorials, in order to allow to gather first experiences with the astonishing performance of RBMs.
Speakers
Martin Grepl (RWTH Aachen)
Bernard Haasdonk (University of Stuttgart)
Gianluigi Rozza (SISSA, Trieste)
Stefan Volkwein (University of Konstanz)
Topics
Introduction to RB methods
